More Guitar Lessons Info
We've given a lot of thought as to what goes into a good music lessons program. Clear communication, support in-between weekly lessons, fun, variety and much more are an integral part of what we offer. We've learned many lessons developing our lessons program but, we are committed to continual improvement. We must be doing something right; our student numbers are growing at an amazing rate!,
Free Music Lesson: We believe for music lessons to be effective, good chemistry between student and instructor is critical. For that reason, we offer a Free Music Lesson to allow the student to evaluate the music instructor, our lessons program, and any other criteria the student considers important.
For those new to music, a free music lesson is the perfect time to sit with a professional, free of charge, to evaluate what type of guitar of other instrument suits them best. Schedule your Free Music Lesson today!
Music Instructors: Most of our Instructors have received formal training in a college/university program or music institute. They are qualified, personable, and motivated to help students achieve their goals.
Philosophy: The love of music always has been an excellent way to connect with people. We cannot promise stardom or fame; rather, we will focus on music for the pure and simple enjoyment of it. (Students who learn to read music do better in math and other subjects at school!)
Ages: Generally, 6 is about the earliest age one can begin to study music but not every 6 year old can manage that. There are levels of physical strength and size and mental discipline that must be achieved before one can learn to play. On the other end of the scale, one is never too old to start a new journey in life!
Method: We use a combination of printed instructional material to learn the instrument and learn music. Instructors also may create aspects of curriculum. In addition, the student will supply a selection of songs they wish to learn to add some variety to lessons and the practice routine. We recommend students practicing 15-20 minutes a day for their first 8-9 months of study. Consistent daily practice is the key to success.
Fees: There aren’t any registration fees or contracts to sign. However, we do ask that students at least make their own 4-6 month commitment to this process. A flat rate of $80.00 per month reserves a weekly half-hour lesson slot for a single student with an assigned instructor. Payment for the upcoming month is due PRIOR to the first lesson of that month.
