Creativity Trofim in the Chanson genre

The style of chanson is one of the genres of vocal music. But the word “shanson” can have two meanings: 1. French pop song, which is performed in the style of a cabaret; 2. secular polyphonic song performed in French (Renaissance and Middle Ages).

In order to fully understand what this genre is, you need to find out what it was like in the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance. At that time, one-voice secular songs were called chanson, which were performed by troubles, that is, French poets. The very first author of the chanson was the composer and poet Guillaume de Masho (14th century). The next generation of performers were from Burgundy (Gilles Benshua and Guillaume Dufay). But the songs were already, as a rule, three-voice. Soon (the 15th century), the first chanson school appeared in Paris (K. Zhansken and K. de Sermizi). In the 15-16 centuries, many newspapers wrote about this genre. This time can be called the peak of the popularity of the genre.

What is a modern chanson? This genre was used by French cabaret performers (late 19th – early 20th century). The most famous at that time were Mistingett, Aristide Bruant. Further, from the cabaret, the genre of chanson passed to the French stage (20th century). Together with the chanson, the so-called “realistic songs” were performed in the cabaret, and most often the women sang (Freel, Damia and Edith Piaf). Then, in the 50s, 2 main directions of the French-language song, which exist to this day, declared themselves. The first is a classic chanson, and the second is a pop song. Now you can download chanson for free on almost any music portal.

Among contemporary chanson performers, it is worth highlighting Sergei Trofimov, the author of many songs that later became hits. The performer was born in the fall of 1966 in Moscow. For 10 years, the singer was a soloist in the choir, which existed at the music school. His first concerts were in 1987. Then from 1991 to 1993 he stayed as a church singer. Sergey wrote music and songs to such performers as Lada Dance, Laima Vaikule, Vakhtang Kikabidze, Alexander Marshal, Nikolai Noskov and others. He began to appear on the stage under the name Trofim in 1994. To date, he has already recorded ten of his albums. During his concerts, the audience simply explodes with applause. Everyone adores him as a singer, composer and respected as a person.
